Psoriasis is partially caused by the immune system mistakenly attacking healthy skin cells. It causes raised, red and scaly patches to appear on the skin. In some people, it also affects the joints. It affects both sexes equally and occurs at all ages. Psoriasis is treated with topical costeroids and retinoids. Dr. Straight has many years of experience in treating this disorder.
