Michael J. De La Vega, PA-C is a native of San Antonio, TX and a graduate of the military Interservice Physician Assistant Program. He obtained his PA degree thru the University of Nebraska, Medical Center and completed training at Carl R. Darnell Medical Center, Fort Hood, TX. Mike had twelve years’ experience as physician assistant in deployment medicine and primary care with extensive training in emergency medicine and trauma. For the last four years, his sole focus has been medical and procedural dermatology working at Texas Skin and Vein.

Prior to coming to Texas Skin and Vein, Mike De La Vega served in the US Army for 20 years. He enlisted in 1999 achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class prior to commissioning in 2008, and retired as a Major in 2019. He completed 6 combat tours between Afghanistan and Iraq and has served in numerous leadership positions and locations across the globe.

Mike is married to his beautiful wife of 18yrs, Krystina, and is the proud father of 2 daughters and 1 son.

Hobbies include hunting, fishing, and camping with his children.
