Dr. Angela Martini is a Texan; born, raised, and educated. She grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Churchill High School. She attended Rice University where she double majored in Biological Sciences and Asian Studies. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech School of Medicine graduating with honors. She returned home to San Antonio to complete her internship and dermatology residency at UT Health San Antonio and served as the Chief Resident for Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Martini also has several publications in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Dr. Martini knew she wanted to practice medicine from a young age. When she was eight years old, her Chinese grandmother sustained a severe traumatic brain injury as a pedestrian in a truck accident and was miraculously saved by the intensive care team in Nanjing, China. This inspired Dr. Martini to pursue medicine so that she too can have a positive impact upon the lives of her patients and their families. This event also motivated her considerable efforts and time in learning Mandarin Chinese.
Dr. Martini offers specialist services in medical, cosmetic, pediatric, and surgical dermatology. She is a compassionate doctor that listens to her patients concerns and enjoys educating her patients. She obtains great satisfaction from seeing her treatments improve not only her patients’ skin, but also their self-confidence.
Her hobbies include traveling, reading, spending time with family, and going on walks with her Australian Shepherd.
